Looking Forward to 2013

With so much happening in the past year, much more will be happening in 2013 and Kendal and I are really excited. Lots of programs are in the works and lots of other golfers are wanting to come and throw the medicine ball!

First of all, there has been some great work done with Bryn Parry and a few of his students at Seymour Creek Golf Centre. Bryn has said that he is hitting it farther and longer than he has in a long time, maybe ever. Bryn also said that a student of his is getting into great positions in the golf swing that he has never been before he started throwing the medicine ball.

There has been a lot of hard work put in this holiday season as well by a couple juniors. Nick Krystal, who Kendal has been working with for a few years now, has grown a few inches and is putting a lot of hard work in the gym with weights and the medicine ball. We're both excited for what Nick can do in 2013.

Another junior who has been putting in a ton of work in Breanna Croxen. Breanna is new to the game of golf and tournaments but is a great athlete and we have been seeing this in the medicine ball exercises. It has been translating to Breanna's golf swing and it will be exciting to watch her progress in 2013.

So, what's in store for Kendal and I in 2013? Well, a lot. The Richmond Olympic Oval will be a host for us this year and we are pumped up to get things going. We are going to have a weekly program where people will be going in to get a workout, a medicine ball session and a self-workout every week, hopefully starting later this month.

Kendal and I will be running different types of training camps throughout the year as well. The types of training camps will be two to four days and will incorporate Kendal and I's teachings. We are also planning training camps around bigger junior tournaments throughout the year where either Kendal or I will be traveling to the tournament to go through what should happen before, during and after the event. Personally, I'm really excited to get this type of training camp going!

We have a few other things on the go, especially Kendal, but one thing we want to get rolling is a college preparation program where we prepare and help recognize juniors for college golf. I remember playing junior golf in the Vancouver area and along with almost all the other juniors, we wanted to play college golf down south or at a great college program in Canada. We want to help with that. When we get this going, we want to run this like a college golf team. I think this could be a huge opportunity for everyone involved and if I had anything like this when I played junior golf, I would jump on this chance!

Thanks again for reading! We will keep you updated on what's going on with Kendal and I thru this blog and Twitter!
